Design & Development
Single Bullet Design
Front End Development, UX Design.
I received my BA in Web Applications at Columbia College Chicago and now have over 10 years experience as a Developer and Designer for a wide range of businesses, clients, and needs. My web related skillset includes Responsive Design, Web Development, Mockups, Wire-framing, Custom WordPress Development, Marketing Software such as Salesforce, and Content Management Systems.
In my current position as a Front End Web Developer in a Digital Marketing Department, I primarily interact with the CRM and Product Teams where I enjoy a diversity of problem solving challenges on both technical and aesthetic levels.
I’m also interested in Human Factors, part of which would be the cumulative impact that advertising and marketing has on us as individuals and also as a culture. Or another question might be, how does our ability to gather behavioral data points and use them as modifiers ultimately affect our evolution over generations. But more simply we can also ask what role does artistry and creativity play in an increasingly data driven environment.
As a Web Developer and Designer in a Digital Marketing Department, I primarily interact with the CRM and Product Teams where I enjoy a diversity of problem solving challenges on both technical and aesthetic levels. As a consulting Developer on two of our larger scale web projects, I have worked with agencies from New York and La Crosse, and have team members in London, Dubai, Sydney and New York.
I’ve always enjoyed the Visual Arts and since my studies at the University of Arizona Art Department in Tucson, I’ve remained an active artist in a number of mediums. Photoshop, while not exactly a medium, has been my primary visual tool as a professional retoucher, photographer, and Digital Art enthusiast. Here’s a small selection of work from the past few years.
I love the basic tenet of photography as stated by Garry Winogrand – “There is nothing as mysterious as a fact clearly described…”. Much of my free time while living in Chicago involved taking photos on trains, in public housing, at neighborhood bars, churches, hipster art events, CityScapes, and political protests. Here is a tiny selection of that work.
